Leela James has a new love in her life. The R&B singer gave birth to her son on Tuesday.
“What a day this [has been],” Leela exclaimed. “What Love this [is]! So much Joy! The gift of new life! I feel so blessed too finally meet my Prince. Words can’t describe my emotions right now. All I can [say] is to God be the glory and thanku Lord!”
Leela released her fifth studio album, Fall For You, in 2014. At the time, the singer was adjusting to motherhood for the first time. “I think right now, the biggest challenge for me is that I’m a mother now,” she told media. “Just juggling motherhood and my career can sometimes be challenging and present moments of difficulty.”
James also told fans that some of her songs on the album were based off personal experiences. “About 50%,” she said. “Some of the songs are from personal experiences and some of the songs are indirect experiences that are still close to me. So I tend to write about things that I’m going through at the time, or that I’m witnessing someone else go through.”
