Congratulations to Rockmond Dunbar and wife Maya Gilbert on the arrival of their son. Czar Rockmond Dunbar was born earlier this week.
“A CZAR is born,” Rockmond tweeted on Monday. The celebrity dad went on to tell fans that his son was “born [at] 8:07am @ 10lbs 21. @CzarRockmond @MrsMayaDunbar is doing very well.”
It was just two years ago that Rockmond and Maya welcomed their daughter, Berkeley. The actor took to social media to announce his daughter’s birth. “Mom is doing great,” Rockmond shared. “We are absolutely in LOVE with our daughter.”
Rockmond is most recognized for his roles in The Mentalist, The Game and Sons of Anarchy. The actor portrayed Eli in Sons of Anarchy, who died during the season six finale of the show. “It sucked balls,” said Rockmond of filming the scene. “It was the last scene of the last day of the episode. So we were all super tired. Who wants to come to work and die, regardless of what the situation is. It’s a very emotional scene.”
Czar is the Dunbars second child.
