Nicki Minaj is becoming one of Hollywood’s most transparent stars. The rapper shares her experience with pregnancy at a young age, and how her decision to abort her unborn child has haunted her during her adult years with Rolling Out.
‘I thought I was going to die,” says Minaj to the media source. “I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I’d ever gone through. [It has] haunted me all my life.” Nicki further explains, “I wasn’t ready. I didn’t have anything to offer a child.”
Minaj expressed her desire to have a child by the release of her fifth album during an interview with Complex magazine earlier this year. “If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother,” shared the star.
Nicki’s third album, The Pinkprint, was released earlier this month, and features the hit song ‘All Things Go,’ which talks about her abortion. The rapper rose to prominence after releasing a series of mixtapes from 2007 to 2009.
