Singer/actor Tyrese Gibson and daughter Shayla hosted a private screening of ANNIE for friends and family on October 25, 2014 at their home in Woodland Hills, California. Celebrities such as Larenz Tate and Chris Spencer attended the screening with their families and stopped by the ANNIE photo booth to take pictures.
“Tonight me and my daughter Shayla were honored to host an advanced screening of Annie in my backyard – shout to my Bro of Sony Pictures @DevonFranklin #AnnieMovie this is the FIRST official screening in my backyard outdoor theater were too excited to do this!” Tyrese wrote on his Instagram page.
Annie, which comes out in theatres on December 19th, stars Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) as Annie, a young, happy foster kid who is left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they’d be back for her someday. In the meantime, Annie lives a hard knock life with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz) until she meets New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks (Jamie Foxx).
