Sofia Richie’s modelling career continues to blossom as she hits the cover of Nationalist Magazine for September. The issue shows off her keen fashion sense for back-to-school. The fall looks simply pop on Sofia.
Inside, a quick interview gives some insight as to who Sofia is, as she is asked about her social life, her family life, and her love of travel. The 16-year-old told Nationalist Magazine that she has a lot of talented friends, and counts herself lucky for being able to grow up in a talented household as well. As an aspiring singer, it’s no surprise that Sofia named her father, Lionel Richie, as an amazing musical influence, citing this as a major pro to growing up famous. A con though, she noted, is feeling like she’s “always being watched”.
Even so, it’s safe to say the public knew very little of Sofia until she burst onto the scene in 2012 through Teen Vogue. Striking curiosity everywhere, people were fascinated by the mysterious existence of Nicole Richie’s younger sister. As the mystery dissipates, it seems Sofia will soon be a star very much in her own right. Alongside her modelling career, the teen is starring in her sister’s new reality T.V. show, Candidly Nicole, and is looking forward to launching a soulful music career. Noting that she isn’t big on the pop-scene, Sofia told Access Hollywood that the music she grew up around is her biggest influence. However, it will be a couple years before we get to hear Sofia’s music. Her father is adamant that she wait until she’s a little older, and for good reason. “He just wants me to be completely ready for everything,” she explained. “He wants me to just be mature in my music so I don’t have to go through that awkward stage of a kid to, like, a grown artist.”
