Nick Cannon has been rather vague about the circumstances surrounding the potential split between him and wife Mariah Carey. But he has been clear about one thing, “Mariah Carey is an amazing mother and I trust her wholeheartedly”.
The TV personality made a blunt return to social media yesterday to respond to the rumors and slanders that have been spreading about his relationship. The Twitter rant revealed that sources that had quoted him as speaking openly about his so-called separation were false, and that despite the difficulties he and Mariah are facing, he loves and respects her very much. Most of all, Nick stated that he is “infuriated” by the media’s approach to the situation. He wrote:
During this challenging time for me and my family it saddens me that the media can be such evil bottom feeders… At this difficult time I would ask all civilized people to please respect my family and this process… What infuriates me most is to hear people slander Mariah Carey. I will forever be indebted to her for blessing me with our children… I love Mariah Carey and that will never change!!!
Nick (33) and Mariah (44) married in 2008. The wedding came as a complete surprise to the public, and even more shocking was the birth of their twins Monroe and Moroccan in 2011. Since then the couple has garnered major media attention, including the romantic renewal of their vows at Disneyland last year. Their separation, however, has been speculated upon for months, with the actor’s comments on Twitter seemingly acting as a confirmation.
