Eric Benet is a dad for the third time! The singer and his wife Manuela Testolini welcomed their daughter earlier this month. Named Amoura Luna for her birthdate falling under the supermoon, the little one arrived at 6 lbs 13 oz on July 13th.
This is the couple’s second child together. Their first, Lucia Bella, was born in 2011 a few months after they exchanged vows. After the birth of Lucia, Eric was proud to confirm to US Weekly that his new wife was perfectly suited to motherhood. “Manuela is truly proving to be the world’s best mother. She is so attentive, nurturing and loving,” he boasted.
The singer’s first daughter, India was born in 1991. In an exclusive with Urban Life back in 2010, Eric opened up to discuss the journey of fatherhood. “[B]eing a parent and raising a child is a multi-layered job with so many challenges and so many beautiful rewards” he explained. Now, he gets to have those experiences all over again.
To announce their second pregnancy to friends and family, Eric and Manuela got creative and shared a photo of their toddler working on a To Do list. Items included “Learn to walk” and “Learn to use the potty.” The final item, and the only one awaiting it’s checkmark, read “Become a big sister!!!” in brackets they added “Summer 2014”.
