Quvenzhane is quickly taking over Hollywood.
Her first starring role in Annie alongside Jamie Foxx is set to hit theatres at the end of the year, but in the meantime she will be starring in the upcoming Counting By 7s.
The film is an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same title. It follows a young girl named Willow Chance, a 12 year old genius who finds comfort in counting by 7s. After losing her adoptive parents to a car crash she is faced with the reality of a confusing world to which she has trouble relating. In an effort to push through her grief, Willow finds a way to create a surrogate family for herself, one that is made up of diverse and compelling characters.
This Louisiana born starlet can also be caught in the 2015 drama, Fathers and Daughters starring Amanda Seyfried and Russell Crowe, and voicing Almitra in the upcoming animation Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet.
