It was a celebration of life and ‘Despicable Me’ for Wynstan Allen who turned 2-years-old on January 25, 2014. The toddler had everything from cool gifts to a Minion cake that represented his love for the hit film, Despicable Me. Ray and Shannon looked on with delight as their son basked in the festivities.
It was just two years ago that the NBA star and his wife welcomed their fourth child into the world. Wynstan was meticulously given his name by dad who told media that he thought long and hard before naming his youngest son. “We had a lot of advice and a lot of names being said because all of our boys are ‘W.R.A,'” said the sports star. “We scoured every ‘W’ name we could. We got down to that day in the hospital and we had our top three or four and we talked about how the nicknames kids would give him and kind of what life would be like if we gave him something crazy and what we would call him. Probably what gave that name top seed was the fact that our last son born was Wynn. Our first two sons are ‘Wal,‘ so this was, ‘Wy.’ That’s kind of how we rationalized it.”
Wynstan has three brothers and one sister who helped him celebrate on his special day. Ray Allen has five kids in all.
