Tattoos are a family affair in the White House as President Obama has vowed to get ink if his daughters, Sasha and Malia, ever decide to rebel with tats. The Commander-In-Chief told Savannah Gutherie of Today News all about his and First Lady Michelle Obama’s plans to get and show off their family ink to social media fans should their daughters choose to get tats as teens.
“What we’ve said to the girls is, ‘If you guys ever decide you’re going to get a tattoo, then mommy and me will get the exact same tattoo in the same place. And we’ll go on YouTube and show it off as a family tattoo,'” said the President. “And our thinking is that might dissuade them from thinking that somehow that’s a good way to rebel.”
While some kids don’t care if their parents wear tats, Sasha and Malia might not be too thrilled at the idea of their mom and dad, who are both renowned public figures, getting and showing off the same ink they’re displaying. Can you say, L-O-L?
