Kiyan Anthony,5, and other celebrity kids modeled it up for Rookie USA’s opening of the first high-end children’s store of its kind in New York on October 12, 2012. La La and Carmelo Anthony also participated in the event, hosting the show and signing autographs for fans.
Contrary to most children’s stores in the New York area, Rookie USA focuses solely on athletics having an array of sports brands to choose from and a photo booth where kids can customize their own sports cards. The store also features a virtual basketball court and iPads that children can interact with.
La La was happy to have her son participate in the fashion show telling several media sources, “The kids are super excited, and I’m so happy my son is in this show! It’s so much fun watching all these kids wear these amazing clothes.” Amar’e Stoudemire’s children also worked the runway at the premiere event.
