Actor/singer Jamie Foxx has a kid-friendly version of his hit song “Blame It.” Jamie said on the Jay Leno show on Monday(October 5th) that he was inspired to change the lyrics to his song because of some angry parents at his daughter’s school.

He said jokingly to Jay Leno, “I got a lot of flack for that because the kids started singing the song. I would go to my daughter’s school and  parents would go, ‘How dare you have my child bringing flasks of Hennessy to the school?’ They were upset with me. So my manager’s daughter came up with the idea to change the song a little bit so the kids would have something to sing.”

Here is the chorus for the original song “Blame it on the alcohol”:

Blame it on the goose
Got you feeling loose
Blame it on petron
Got you in the zone

Blame it on the a a a a a alcohol
Blame it on the a a a a a a alcohol

Kid Friendly version

Blame it on the juice
‘Cause you’re only two
Blame it on the juice
Whatcha gonna do

Blame it on the ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-apple juice.”

Later  during the interview, Jamie mentioned that his daughter Corinne Foxx,15, will be starring in a movie alongside him. The movie is called Valentine’s day and is due out in 2010.
