Monica pulled out all the stops for daughter Laiyah Brown’s 13th birthday.
The singer celebrated her only daughter over several days, starting with a Tiffany-inspired dinner at 5Church Atlanta that featured custom “L13 Laiyah & Co.” details worked into the menus, balloons, floral arrangements and three-tiered cake.
“L13 Dinner was AMAZING @5churchatlanta !!!” Monica wrote on Instagram. “The food was absolutely amazing!! Throughout the four hours we dined on food that was filled with flavor and all the necessary southern comforts!”
Guests enjoyed short ribs, salmon, grilled chicken, mac and cheese, rice, green beans and mashed potatoes during the four-hour dinner.
Laiyah dressed for the occasion in a floor-length mint green one-shoulder gown and carried a matching quilted Chanel bag. Monica wore a flowing pink two-piece set with a matching headband.
In one of the photos shared on Instagram, the mother and daughter looked picture-perfect as they stood beside a pink vintage Mustang surrounded by pink flowers, with a mint-colored backdrop and desert scenery behind them.
Laiyah’s brothers, Rodney “Rocko” Hill III, Romelo Hill and Ramone Hill, also appeared in several shots with the birthday girl.
“Nothing more special to a girl than her brothers,” Monica wrote.
The birthday fun continued the next day with a family outing to Zoo Atlanta, where the group enjoyed a tour and a behind-the-scenes experience.
“We spent the following day as a family at our legendary zoo @zooatl !!!” Monica shared.
Monica later shared a sweet birthday tribute to her daughter, who officially turned 13 on September 3.
“Happy 13th Birthday @laiyah … Celebrating you for multiple Days in multiple ways brought joy to all of our hearts. You are loved, cherished and adored!” she wrote.
She continued, “Keep your heart intact, be in the world yet not of it & never think more will be placed on you than God has prepared you to bear! You’re incredibly beautiful (inside & out) , driven & exceptionally loving !”
The singer also offered Laiyah some advice as she enters her teenage years.
“Those attributes are beautiful, just make sure your No , is as strong as you yes & your boundaries are never second guessed !!! We will be by your side as you continue to strive for greatness!”

Monica shares Laiyah with ex-husband Shannon Brown and sons Rodney and Romelo with ex Rodney “Rocko” Hill. Ramone is Rocko’s oldest son from a previous relationship, and Monica has long referred to him as her bonus son.
