Michael Strahan is officially a father of five after quietly welcoming a baby girl with his longtime girlfriend, Kayla Quick.
TMZ reported on Aug. 27 that the Good Morning America co-anchor and former NFL star welcomed their daughter earlier in 2026. The baby is the couple’s first child together and Strahan’s fifth. No name or exact birth date has been publicly announced.
The newest addition comes more than two decades after Strahan last welcomed a child. He was already dad to four adult children from his two previous marriages and became a grandfather for the first time in 2024.

Tanita Strahan
Tanita is Strahan’s oldest child. He welcomed her with his first wife, Wanda Hutchins, while the former couple was living in Germany.
Now 34, Tanita has largely kept a lower public profile than her famous father. She works as an artist and illustrator and has previously been based in Los Angeles.
Strahan has described his firstborn as having a silent but strong personality.
“She’s kind of like me in the sense that she has a very strong personality, but a silent strong personality,” he previously said in an interview with New York Family. “She’s not going to be one to walk into a room and make it all about her. She definitely has an opinion and she’s very smart and she knows what she wants, which I love about her.”
Tanita made her father a grandfather in September 2024 when she welcomed a son named Onyx.
“It is amazing,” Strahan said while announcing the birth on Good Morning America. “I am so excited. I’m so happy. A great addition to the family.”
Michael Strahan Jr.
Michael Jr. is Strahan’s second child with Hutchins.
The 31-year-old was also born during the years his family lived in Germany and, like his older sister, has generally stayed outside of the spotlight. He later graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and now lives in New York.
Strahan offered a glimpse into their relationship while celebrating his son’s birthday on Instagram in 2022.
“Happy birthday to my son, @mstrayjr! Wishing you the most amazing day!! You are an amazing son, friend, brother, and a great human being. So proud of you!” he wrote.
Isabella Strahan
Isabella is one of Strahan’s twin daughters with his second wife, Jean Muggli. She and her sister Sophia turned 21 in October 2025.
Isabella enrolled at the University of Southern California in 2023 and was beginning her freshman year when she started experiencing headaches and other symptoms. She was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in October of that year.
She publicly revealed the diagnosis alongside her father during a January 2024 interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America.
“I literally think that in a lot of ways, I’m the luckiest man in the world because I’ve got an amazing daughter,” Strahan said at the time. “I know she’s going through it, but I know that we’re never given more than we can handle and that she is going to crush this.”
After undergoing surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, Isabella announced in July 2024 that she was cancer-free. She later returned to USC and resumed modeling.
Her modeling career had already begun before her diagnosis. She landed a Sephora campaign shot in Paris and later returned to fashion work following treatment. In 2025, she and Sophia appeared together in a SKIMS Campus Collection campaign.
Sophia Strahan
Sophia is Isabella’s twin sister and Strahan’s fourth child.
She enrolled at Duke University in 2023. Her father marked the milestone with a campus drop-off as both twins began college that year.
Sophia also has a background in equestrian sports. More recently, she stepped into modeling alongside Isabella when the twins appeared together in the 2025 SKIMS campaign.
When Isabella was undergoing cancer treatment, Sophia remained an important part of the family support system. The sisters have since returned to sharing more of their college lives and professional milestones publicly.
Strahan and Kayla Quick’s Daughter
Strahan’s youngest child is the baby girl he reportedly welcomed with Kayla Quick earlier in 2026.
TMZ broke the news on Aug. 27, citing sources with direct knowledge. The outlet reported that Strahan and Quick had become parents together after more than a decade of dating.
The pair have kept their relationship largely private since they were first linked in 2015. Quick has nevertheless appeared alongside Strahan during major family moments, including his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and events involving his children.
