Iman Shumpert appears to have shared a photo of his newest child.
On Father’s Day, the former NBA star took to Instagram Stories with a snapshot featuring his two older daughters cuddled up alongside a sleeping newborn. Alongside the photo, Shumpert joked, “Actually pop taught me everything but how to make a boy #happyfathersday.”
Back in April, Shumpert sparked speculation that he had welcomed another child.
In an Instagram post, the former basketball player shared a photo with the caption, “Girl Dad,” followed by three heart emojis.
Within minutes, the comments section filled with questions and guesses about whether the post was hinting at a new baby. Some took it as a possible birth reveal, while others focused on details in the photo itself.
“Is this how he launch a new baby?! okay,” one person wrote.
Another commented, “He had another baby.”
Shumpert never directly addressed the speculation, leaving fans to piece together clues from his social media activity. His Father’s Day post, however, offered a rare glimpse into what many believe is the newest addition to his family.
Shumpert is already the father of daughters Iman “Junie” Tayla Shumpert Jr. and Rue Rose Shumpert, whom he shares with ex-wife Teyana Taylor.
In a recent interview on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe, Shumpert shared that while he loves being a girl dad, he hopes to have a son one day.
“Oh, yeah. I’m going to have more kids,” he said. “I got to have a [boy]. I got to get it.”
When Sharpe asked what if he has more girls, Shumpert replied, “More girls is cool. I don’t really care. But we going till we get that boy.”
Looking ahead, Shumpert joked that he expects to have a large family.
“In ten years, I’m going to have a bunch of kids. Whatever I got to do to get that boy is going to happen.”
