Chris Brown is seeking shared custody of his daughter, Lovely Symphani Brown, after her mother, Diamond Brown, previously asked a Los Angeles court to grant her sole custody of the 4-year-old.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Diamond filed a paternity-related petition in May seeking primary custody of Lovely. She also requested that Brown’s time with their daughter be limited to visitation and asked the court to order him to cover her legal fees.
Brown has since responded with a filing of his own.
The singer is seeking joint legal and physical custody of Lovely. He is also requesting that each side be responsible for its own legal expenses.
The filing comes amid growing tension between the former couple, whose disagreements recently spilled onto social media.
Earlier this year, Diamond accused Brown of attempting to interfere with her new relationship by trying to intimidate her boyfriend. At the time, Brown’s girlfriend, Jada Wallace, jumped to his defense and accused Diamond of preventing him from seeing Lovely.
“You a lame for running to the internet,” Wallace wrote on Instagram Stories. “Tryna air business out like you not the one that’s stopping him from seeing his daughter.”

Diamond denied the allegation and said she had only withheld visitation once after Brown allegedly “spazzed” on the parents of one of Lovely’s friends.
“I AM THE MAIN PARENT. I’m with my child day in and day out,” she wrote.

Brown recently welcomed his fourth child, a son named Arrow, with girlfriend Jada Wallace. Wallace announced the birth in April, and the singer reacted in the comments by writing, “Taurus gang.”
In addition to Arrow and Lovely, Brown is also father to Royalty Brown, whom he shares with Nia Guzman, and Aeko Catori Brown, whom he shares with Ammika Harris.
The case remains ongoing.
