Monica, Anthony “Ant” Wilson and Laiyah Brown stepped out in style to celebrate Tamera “Ty” Young after the former WNBA star entered the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame over the weekend.

On Monday, Monica shared a series of photos from the celebration on Instagram.
One photo showed the singer standing beside Wilson and Laiyah outside the venue. Monica and her daughter wore matching green dresses, while Wilson paired a white tuxedo jacket with black lapels and black pants.
Another picture captured Monica and Young posing beside a vintage luxury car.
“F•A•M•I•L•Y ….Unbreakable Bonds & Immeasurable Love,” Monica wrote in the caption.
She added, “Congratulations on Your Induction @tyyoung We Love You…. #HometownHero #Family”

Young thanked Monica and her family in the comments section of the post.
“I love y’all so much. Making sure the whole family was there for my Hall of Fame induction meant the world to me. THANK YOU. 4Life,” she wrote.
Young also opened up about the honor on her own Instagram page.
“From a kid with a dream in Wilmington… to the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame,” she wrote.
“This one means more than words can explain. Wilmington didn’t just raise me, this city built me…”

She went on to thank everyone who attended the ceremony and celebrated the moment with her.
“To look out into that room and feel genuine love, support, and hometown pride… that’s a feeling I’ll never forget,” she added. “Thank you for celebrating this moment with me. Thank you for being part of the journey. The game shaped me. God carried me. And Wilmington will forever live in me.”

Young played in the WNBA for more than 10 seasons after the league selected her eighth overall in the 2008 WNBA Draft.
Monica is mom to sons Rodney “Rocko” Hill III and Romelo Hill, and daughter Laiyah Brown. Wilson also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
