Keyshia Cole’s son, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr., had quite the birthday week.
The teen celebrated his 16th birthday in the Bahamas alongside his mom and a group of friends. On March 2, Cole shared a video on Instagram showing Daniel enjoying an outdoor video game and basketball themed party with his friends.
“Screaming HAPPY BDAY FROM THE BAHAMAS And the party don’t stop !!! #16th BDay @daniel_gibsonjr. Love you so much son! These 16 years have gone by so fast!!!! Every year has been amazing throwing u all these party’s !! This year you chose the vibes! We had a great time!!!! Moving to Miami and not having all your friends here, I was happy seeing u all together again, celebrating YOU! Everyone who came thank you for attending,” the singer wrote.
The birthday celebration took place during a cruise trip. In a separate post, the singer explained how the trip came together.
“This was my VERY FIRST CRUISE!!!!! I’ve always been so scared. @daniel_gibsonjr said, ‘Mom I kno what I want for my BDay, I want to go on a Cruise’ While we were in BAHAMAS CELEBRATING MINE…… I said that’s Insane because @femmeitforward has been asking me to go on their VERY FIRST ARTIST PERFORMANCE CRUISE, but it’s been a fear of mine.”
She continued, “He said ‘Naw Ma, LETS GOOOOOO.’ So I flew all his buddies in/and GF/ all the parents, to enjoy this cruise together, and let me tell you, IT WAS A GOOOOOOOOOD TIME!!!! From the crowd singing my song so loud when I first got on ship, to seeing one of my favorite artist @monicadenise perform To @officialswv ALSO BLOSING IT DOWN !!! Getting off cruise celebrating @daniel_gibsonjr BDay, IN THE BAHAMAS, to getting back on, witnessing praise and worship ! With everyone WEARING WHITE, soooo cute!”

Cole shares Daniel Jr. with her former fiancé, former NBA player Daniel Gibson. The pair welcomed their son on March 2, 2010. She is also mom to Tobias Khale (born 2019) with her ex-boyfriend Niko Khale.
