Chrissy Teigen experienced an unexpected holiday mishap after a festive moment with her kids took a turn.
In a video she shared to Instagram on Sunday, Teigen explained that she knocked out one of her front dental veneers while setting up a holiday surprise for her kids.
The Christmas activity involved planting crushed Oreos and candy canes in small pots so the sweet treats would “magically” grow over a few days. But while swapping in larger candy canes for the big reveal, Teigen accidentally knocked out one of her front dental veneers.
“I’ve been working on candy cane growing,” Teigen said in the video, laughing as she showed the gap in her smile.
“I tried to open one of these bad boys… my tooth fell off.” She explained that it was a veneer and that she still had the entire piece, joking that “this is what moms do for their kids so you can think you grew a candy cane.”
The moment quickly resonated with other parents, many of whom related to her humor and unbothered reaction.
“That happened to me last week I had to rush to dentist. Girl you’re my hero! One follower said.
Another said, “I love how real your motherhood posts are. Because it is not for the weak! Lol”
Even so, Teigen carried on with holiday plans, including attending her children’s school Winter Sing recital. In clips from that day, she appeared smiling, albeit partially hidden behind a face mask, as she enjoyed the performance with her family.
Chrissy Teigen later got her veneer replaced by her dentist and shared updates from the appointment online.
Teigen shares children Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren with husband John Legend. The family frequently appears on her social media, where Teigen often posts candid moments from daily life, especially during the holidays.
