Keke Palmer and her son, Leodis “Leo” Jackson, are keeping their Halloween tradition going with a tribute to Michael and Janet Jackson.
This year, the actress and her 3-year-old son recreated the siblings’ iconic 1995 “Scream” music video, complete with matching black outfits, dramatic hairstyles, and a futuristic set.
In photos Palmer shared on Instagram, she wore Janet’s spiky hairstyle from the video, while Leo channeled Michael with slicked-back hair. Their black-and-white shoot recreated moments from the original video, which took place aboard a spacecraft.
“Another memory with mommy and son! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUDDY. ITS SO MUCH FUN PLAYING WITH YOU!” Palmer captioned the Instagram post. “You will take over the family business, your way, someday.”
She ended her message with, “My SCREAM come true.”
Palmer also shared a video in which she performed dance moves from “Scream” while Leo sat in a chair with his iPad.
“Happy Halloween from me && my mini me!! That iPad is a life saver omg,” she captioned the clip. “I haven’t stopped laughing.”
The mother-son duo has been going all out for Halloween since Leo was just eight months old. In 2023, Palmer dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein while her son played Dr. Frankenstein.
“He gave me LIFE,” she captioned their photos.
The following year, they brought Game of Thrones to life as they posed on the Iron Throne with Palmer as Cersei Lannister and Leo as her son, King Joffrey.
“I, Cersei Lannister, introduce YOU to the heir of the throne!” Palmer wrote alongside the 2024 reveal.
Last Halloween, the pair became Snoop Dogg and Bow Wow for a recreation of the 2000 music video for “Bow Wow (That’s My Name).” They also shared a video of themselves as they performed along to the song, and Leo adjusted his sunglasses for the camera.
“My son my lil road dog FORREAL! Happy Halloween,” Palmer wrote at the time.
Palmer welcomed Leo with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson in February 2023.
