JASON WEAVER CELEBRATES THE ARRIVAL OF HIS SON WITH A SWEET ‘LION KING’ NOD

Jason Weaver is officially a proud dad again!

The Lion King star, known for voicing young Simba in Disney’s 1994 classic, announced on Instagram that he and his partner, Gabby, have welcomed a baby boy named River Jeremiah Weaver.

“I’m VERY PROUD, BLESSED, and HAPPY to officially introduce the newest addition to my beautiful family,” Weaver wrote. “Everyone, please meet my newborn son, River Jeremiah Weaver! He was born this past Wednesday at 10:25pm, and he definitely came in with a bang that evening too.”

Jason went on to thank the medical team at WellStar OBGYN and the nursing staff who helped deliver the couple’s healthy baby boy.

Accompanying his tribute, he shared  a lighthearted clip from the hospital showing a nurse lifting baby River in the air, instantly reminding fans of The Lion King’s iconic “Simba presentation” scene. 

The actor then turned his attention to Gabby, praising her for how she handled the pregnancy.

In addition to their newborn, the actor is also dad to an older son, Jaylen Zylus Weaver, born in 2002.

Jason Weaver, 45, is best known for his roles as a young Michael Jackson in The Jacksons: An American Dream, as Marcus on the sitcom Smart Guy, and as Rashaad “Shaad” Marshall on Showtime’s The Chi.
