The Queen of Pop has shown us the glamours side of being Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone and now she is sharing with Instagram, a far less luxurious side of life where she is simply, “soccer momming.”
The “Papa Don’t Preach” singer posted a carousel of images on social media of she and her boyfriend, Akeem Morris, cheering on twin daughters: Estere and Stella on the pitch.
“Soccer Momming………….. Don’t give me an Iron and a Drink at the same time! @agsoccerclub.”
Madonna is a deeply supportive mother to all six of her children. She is equally passionate about protecting them and worrying over their well-being as she is about cheering them on in every one of their pursuits.
Earlier this month, the Material Girl shared a lengthy but poignant message on social media, expressing her deepest fears for her 12-year-old twin daughters, in lieu of the outcome of the 2024 Presidential election.
“I woke up this morning and the first thought that came to my head was-America hates Women! – Not that I haven’t always felt the wrath of misogyny breathing down my neck,” she began her post.
“I walked downstairs to my daughter’s classroom . They are being homeschooled – they were taking a science test. I hugged them both and I started to cry . They are so upset about the elections and they are 12!! They are adopted from Malawi. Will they be considered Vermin by the government as well?”
The “La Isla Bonita” singer continued, “But it’s not just women that America hates. They straight up hate Freedom. They want lower taxes, but they don’t mind if they live in a Totalitarian government to get them. I don’t want to let go of our democracy!! Now we will all have to fight even harder to hang onto it. Americans who voted for Trump or didn’t vote at all- showed that many people are OK with a dictatorship to take over. I don’t want my friends that are not naturally born Americans to live in internment camps.!! I want my daughters and all of their friends to have agency over their bodies!!”
“To feel valued. Not like second-class.citizens. How could women vote for Trump? We fought for so long for so much! What are we going to do with our feelings of disappointment? The universe is telling us that we have to spend the next four years fighting for our freedom !!!”
She concluded, “Are you prepared to fight? Critical thinking and getting involved in our community is needed. Be prepared to fight for your freedom Be prepared to fight for your life ! I’m not giving up hope . Are you with Me?”
As you would expect, fans were divided over her post and concern for her girls.
One thing we can all agree on is that Madonna is undeniably one of the top contenders for best mom cheerleader of all time.
Madonna is mother to six children. In addition to Stella, and Estere, she is also mother David Banda, 19, Mercy James, 18. Additionally, she is mother to to to two older biological children, Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 23.
