Nick Cannon is gushing about his eldest kids, Monroe and Moroccan Cannon, who recently turned 13.
In an exclusive interview with People, the father of 12 shared how he is cherishing every moment with them.
“They’ve been teenagers. They’re super advanced, and I learned so much from them, he said. “I’ve got five years and four years, and they’re in college. So I’m just soaking up every moment.”
Nick, who shares his twins with his ex Mariah Carey, reflected on their incredible growth.
“I’m watching my daughter turn into a young woman. It breaks my heart every single day. I’m watching my son be just like me. And obviously I got a lot more behind them,” he said. “So they’re teaching me through this process.”
He added of all of his kids, “I’ve never had so much unconditional love that comes from my children, specifically my oldest, they give me shots. They give dad second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth chances.”
Monroe and Moroccan turned 13 this past May, and in honor of their special day, Cannon took to Instagram to share a sweet tribute.
“Can’t believe 13 years ago I was blessed with the greatest gift of becoming a father!! God has truly had his hand on the lives of two of the most loving, kind, intelligent and well-balanced humans I have ever witnessed!” he wrote
“Thank you for teaching how to love everyday and thank you for letting me be your dad! I’m going to eventually get it right, I promise!! Now let’s get back to partying! I love you Roc and Roe!! Happy Birthday!!!” he continued.
In addition to his twins, Cannon is dad to sons Golden Sagon, Rise Messiah Cannon ,and daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.
He is also shares two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died at five months old from brain cancer in December 2021, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, who was born in December 2022.
