Chanel Iman and fiancé Davon Godchaux have welcomed their first child together. Earlier today, Iman took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news with her fans, revealing the name of their precious daughter: Capri Summer Godchaux.
Capri made her grand entrance into the world on Tuesday, and the proud parents couldn’t wait to introduce her to the world. In the Instagram post, Chanel Iman can be seen cradling her newborn daughter while still in the hospital bed. Beside her, Davon Godchaux wears a beaming smile, radiating the pride and happiness of a new father.
This is the first child Iman and Godchaux share. Chanel Iman is already mom to her daughters Cassie,3, and Cali, 4, from her previous marriage to Sterling Shepard, while Davon Godchaux, the 28-year-old NFL player, has a son from a prior partnership.
The couple announced their pregnancy back in July and shared the sex of their baby a heartwarming video that included Chanel’s daughter. In the video, Chanel, dressed in all white, proudly displayed her baby bump, while Cassie and Cali wore matching pink floral dresses and flower crowns, signifying that they would soon be welcoming another baby girl into their lives.
“Our family is growing and we are so excited to meet our new little one,” Iman captioned her first announcement post, before writing alongside the second, “God is great! It’s all been a blessing.”
Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard finalized their divorce in June 2021. In April 2022, she and Davon Godchaux made their relationship official on Instagram. Soon after, they took the next step and got engaged in May 2023.
“The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go ♾️📍Capri , Italy 🇮🇹,” Iman wrote in Instagram post earlier this year.
