Erica Mena couldn’t be prouder of her 6-year-old daughter, Safire Majesty, who recently filmed her first movie alongside her mom.

In a new Instagram post, Mena shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos of Safire on the set of their upcoming film and reflected on what it meant to watch her little girl make her acting debut.
“And just like that, something I never even knew I needed to experience became one of the greatest accomplishments of my career,” Mena wrote. “My daughter’s FIRST movie was WITH ME!”

Safire has spent years accompanying her mom on movie sets, including during Mena’s Stepmother trilogy. Over time, she began expressing an interest in acting herself.
She eventually auditioned for a film with Chris Stokes and Footage Films Studios and got the part.

During filming, Mena says her daughter’s performance exceeded her expectations.
“And when I tell y’all this little girl is a NATURAL!!!” she gushed. “The way she showed up, knew her lines, took direction, stayed curious about everything happening behind the cameras, all while keeping up with her schoolwork on set.”
Safire played the role of Lily, and everyone on set called her by that name to help her stay in character.
“Even when she had scenes without me there, she handled herself like she had been doing this for years. I was seriously blown away,” the proud mom shared.

It seems one movie wasn’t enough for the budding actor.
“And now she’s already asking when she can do her NEXT movie because apparently she wants MORE scenes and MORE lines next time!” Mena joked.
“My baby is just getting started. And the fact that I got to be part of her very first chapter means EVERYTHING to me.”
Safire is Mena’s daughter with ex-husband Safaree Samuels. The former couple also shares a son, Legend, while Mena has an older son, King.
