Chanel, the daughter of the Ice-T and Coco Austin, made her runway debut at the 13th Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show at Iron 23 on September 06, 2023 in New York City.
Ice-T and Coco proudly watched from the front row as Chanel strutted down the runway, blowing a playful kiss at the end.
Ice-T, at 65 years old, is not only a legendary rapper but also a doting father. In addition to Chanel, he has two older children, LeTesha, 47, and Tracy Jr., 31. LeTesha is from his high school relationship with Adrienne, while Tracy Jr. is the result of a past relationship with Darlene Ortiz.
In a recent interview on the That Moment with Daymond John podcast, Ice-T opened up about the profound connection he shares with Chanel compared to his older children.
“I am so much more connected to her than my other kids,” said the rapper.
He acknowledged that during his music career, he was somewhat “distracted” while raising his older children, but today, his work-life balance is more “comfortable.”
“I’m in a cruise pattern. I was there when Coco was pregnant, I went to the hospital, and Chanel still sleeps in the bed with us,” he shared.
The rapper further elaborated on the transformative impact of raising Chanel with Coco, stating that it “made him want to live forever”.
“It made me create new goals. It’s the best gift I could ever get,” he added.
The 13th Annual Rookie USA Fashion Show presented by Haddad Brands feautured some of the world’s most fashionable celebrity kids and influencers wearing the season’s latest looks and must-have gear, including apparel, accessories, and footwear from top global brands, including Nike, Jordan, Levi’s®, Converse, and Hurley.
Hosting the event was New York’s very own Kidfluencer, Haileigh Vasquez, who added her unique charm to the occasion. The stage came alive with captivating performances by Sophia Rita and the local Knicks City Kids, while DJ Sophia Rocks provided the perfect musical backdrop for the runway.
