Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, are reveling in the joys of parenthood with their baby boy, True Legend Harris-Dupart.
They proudly shared her happiness on Instagram, expressing their inseparability and unbreakable bond as a family. They even posted a picture of their little one, dressed in camo, with both parents donning camo outfits too.

True Legend Harris-Dupart made his entrance into the world in Atlanta on July 6, weighing 7lbs, 8oz, and measuring 20 inches long. Da Brat gushed about the surreal experience of giving birth, feeling blessed and elated with their perfect bundle of joy.
“I can’t BELIEVE he came out of me!” the star told PEOPLE. “Feels like a dream. He’s PERFECT in every way.” As for how mom is feeling: “Very appreciative for such a blessing of our bundle of joy,” she says. “This journey has been more amazing than we could’ve ever imagined.”
Da Brat, at 49 years old, had previously believed that becoming a mother wasn’t in the cards for her. However, Judy, already a mother of three, convinced her to give it a try, praising Da Brat’s nurturing nature.
“We had a little tug-o-war in the beginning… but I felt like she should have the experience,” says Da Brat’s wife. “She is so nurturing.”
They ultimately chose to conceive through IVF, using an egg from Judy and sperm from an anonymous white donor. The decision was influenced by various factors, including the limited availability of Black donors, Judy being a carrier of multiple disorders, and the age-related challenges they faced.
“We didn’t have a lot to choose from, he definitely wasn’t Black,” Brat previously said of choosing a sperm donor.
Adding, “I think we did a great job with picking. He’s handsome, he’s tall and I think he’s going to look beautiful with my wife’s egg.”
