Wendy Osefo called off her guest co-host appearance on The Real after rushing her 2-year-old daughter, Kamrynn, to the hospital. The Real Housewives of Potomac (RHOP) star spent several days in the ICU with her little one.
“One minute I’m headed to LA to be a guest on @therealdaytime and the next minute I have to rush my daughter to the Emergency Room,” Wendy told fans of the experience. “When life gives you lemons (no matter how bitter it is) you make a glass of lemonade,” the RHOP star told her supporters. “Thankful that my @kamrynnkapri is making a full recovery, but spending a week in the ICU really puts life in perspective,” the celebrity mom admitted.
It was just a few weeks ago that Wendy Osefo shared pictures of her daughter heading off to her first day of school. Kamrynn held her backpack while posing for photos outside of the family home. “She got so big fast,” Tamar Braxton said of Kamrynn’s growth. “She is a beautiful lil princess,” another fan wrote.
Motherhood has impacted Wendy in such a positive manner that the celebrity mom included aspects of parenting in her latest book, Tears of My Mother: The Legacy of My Nigerian Upbringing.
“Motherhood is a layered concept and being able to examine it through this book from my lens of an immigrant and mother of three has opened my eyes to the many ways we as mothers carry the weight of our past into not only our future but that of our children,” Osefo said during an interview earlier this year.
“I hope readers will take from this book that it is never too late to make a change in your life and that of your own children,” Wendy continued. ‘We must prepare future generations, not for our world, but the world they will live in when we are no longer here.”
Wendy and her husband, Edward Osefo, have three kids – Kamrynn, Kruz, and Karter – together.
