When it comes time for students to begin thinking about college, one of the most arduous portions of the process can be finding people to write recommendation letters. But Black-ish star Yara Shahidi definitely scored the holy grail of recommendations since one of hers was written by former First Lady of the United States-Michelle Obama.
Shahidi, a passionate activist and public speaker, has shared the stage on many occasions with Michelle Obama, getting to know her on a personal level.
“She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,” Shahidi told W Magazine in a recent interview, also adding that she pans on majoring in both Sociology and African-American-Studies. The young starlet also applied to Harvard, the former FLOTUS’s alma matter, as well.
We definitely know that where ever Shahidi does end up for the next four years, she will unquestionably make everyone proud.
