Chris Brown will retain joint custody of his daughter, Royalty, as a judge denied Nia Guzman’s request for sole custody a few days ago.
According to TMZ,
“Nia Guzman struck out on every single request regarding custody of 2-year-old Royalty. Nia wanted full custody — DENIED. She wanted Chris to have monitored visitation — DENIED. She wanted to deny Chris’ mom the right to see the kid — DENIED. She wanted Chris to submit to drug tests — DENIED.”
In addition, the judge dismissed Nia’s petition to make Chris pay $20,000 for her legal fees. Nia terminated her petition for child support increase from $2,500 to $16,000 per month after losing her case against Chris last week.
Guzman has accused Brown of exposing Royalty to the wrong crowd on several occasions. At one point, she even alleged that Chris was using drugs in front of their daughter. The celebrity mom told Latina in May that her co-parenting experience with Chris has been challenging, to say the least. “I can’t say anything positive about it… at all. Nothing positive,” she said.
Royalty is Chris Brown and Nia Guzman’s only child together. The little one celebrated her second birthday in May.
