Stephen Curry is on “cloud nine” after receiving the Nation Basketball Association (NBA) trophy for Most Valuable Player (MVP). The Golden State ‘Warriors’ player had his wife, Ayesha, and daughter, Riley, by his side as he accepted the award on Monday.
“This hasn’t sunk in at all,” said Stephen during his acceptance speech. “I’m on cloud nine,” added the star.
Stephen went on to thank his family for all of the support they have given during his years as a professional basketball player. “I gotta start with my wife,” shared the celebrity. “I can’t thank you enough for who you are as a person, how you challenged me, inspired me every single day.” Stephen went on to tell fans that his family and faith are “10 times more important” than basketball.
It was just a few days ago that Ayesha shared her passion about faith with Diablo magazine. “Faith is everything for us,” said the YouTube sensation. “It’s what our relationship and our entire family are founded on.”
James Harden of the Houston ‘Rockets’ was also a candidate for the MVP trophy but was ultimately beat out by Stephen Curry. The Golden State ‘Warriors’ player has experienced much success on the court, which included breaking Jason Richardson’s franchise record for most three-point field goals made in a career in 2013. Stephen is also recognized as having one of the quickest releases in the NBA.
The Currys have one child who will celebrate her third birthday in July. Stephen and Ayesha are expecting their second child to arrive this summer.
