Get used to hearing the name, Esther Okade because she may be your boss one day. At just 10-years-old, she has already earned entry into college and has written a book.
“It’s so interesting,” says the star of her college courses. “It has the type of maths I love. It’s real maths — theories, complex numbers, all that type of stuff.” Esther is currently recognized as the youngest freshman to attend Open University in the U.K. The British-Nigerian is a mathematics major who aims to earn her undergraduate degree in half the time it would take the average young adult to complete school.
“I want to [finish the program] in two years,” says the tween. “Then I’m going to do my PhD in financial maths when I’m 13.” Esther further explains, “I want to have my own bank by the time I’m 15 because I like numbers and I like people and banking is a great way to help people.”
If the numbers mean anything, then Esther will certainly be one of the youngest bankers the United Kingdom has seen. She is already at the top of her class, having scored 100% on her most recent exam.
