Amber Holcomb had a special Valentine’s Day gift. The ‘American Idol’ star welcomed her first child into the world last Friday, making her and boyfriend Lamar D. Denson two happy people.
Amber shared a picture of her child’s head on Instagram on February 14th, showing fans everywhere that her little one had arrived. Many followers congratulated Amber on the newest family addition with one fan writing, “Congratulations on your bundle of joy. May she bring you years of happiness. May God Bless you all.”
Holcomb faced much backlash after announcing her expectancy last year. Many were concerned that the singer was not yet ready for a child since she was just 19-years-old herself. Amber, however, shook off the negative remarks telling Facebook fans, “I’m happy…That’s all that matters…in the end it’s gonna be me and my child and whoever else wants to be there for us. I didn’t ask for this, but I consider it a blessing.”
Amber Holcomb received much recognition after coming in fourth place during season twelve of ‘American Idol.’ She is from Shepherd, Texas.
