Donald Driver had a bit of help in saying goodbye to a great career as his daughter waved at thousands of fans alongside mom and dad during Driver’s retirement ceremony last week. The tot looked at dad as he waved to the crowd and also got the inspiration to say goodbye.
Driver got emotional when reflecting on memories from his childhood, that included living out of a U-Haul truck with his family, during his farewell speech. “The road that I was going down as a kid, God found a way for me to get out of it,” said Donald. “I’m just blessed to be able to stand up here today and say I’ve reached all the milestones that I can reach.”
Donald served as a wide receiver for the Green Bay ‘Packers’ for fourteen years before announcing his retirement on ESPN’s ‘Mike & Mike’ last month. The NFL star and his wife, Betina, have three kids together.
