Jesse Williams is officially a dad of three!
The Grey’s Anatomy alum has welcomed his third child, his first with Spanish actress Alejandra Onieva.
Williams announced the new arrival on Instagram with a creative nod to Spike Lee’s 1989 classic Do the Right Thing.
In a video posted on Monday, Sept. 28, the actor can be seen opening a refrigerator filled with baby bottles while Onieva and others speak Spanish in the background.
“English, alright, English! I want my son to speak English,” he says in the clip. “Bad enough his name is Hector.”
Williams included the original Do the Right Thing scene in the carousel. Because the lines are taken from the film, “Hector” has not been confirmed as the newborn’s actual name. The couple has not formally announced the baby’s sex either.
Onieva later gave fans a small glimpse of their new addition on her Instagram Story. She posted a video of the newborn’s tiny feet resting on her stomach.
The actress and Williams first met in 2024 while working together in Italy on the Prime Video series Hotel Costiera. The pair revealed in May that they were expecting when Onieva posted photos showing off her baby bump.
While this is her first child, Williams is already dad to daughter Sadie, 12, and son Maceo, 11, whom he shares with ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee. The former couple were married for five years before splitting in 2017 and later reached a joint custody agreement.
Williams has previously spoken about the lengths he goes to stay connected to his older children when work takes him away from home. While filming Hotel Costiera overseas, the nine-hour time difference meant adjusting his sleep schedule so he could talk to Sadie and Maceo before school.
“[I was] waking up at 3 a.m. to call the kids,” the actor told PEOPLE in an interview earlier this month. “I’m nine hours ahead of them, so sleep was really tough.”
