Eve is soaking up family time in Ibiza.
The rapper recently shared photos from a getaway to the Spanish island with husband Maximillion Cooper, their son Wilde Wolf, and her bonus children.
The Instagram carousel captured the family enjoying time on the water and making memories together. Cooper also shared moments from the vacation on his Instagram page, giving followers another glimpse of the family’s summer escape.
Previously, Eve opened up about motherhood, marriage, and raising a blended family during an appearance on Angie Martinez’s In Real Life podcast.
During the conversation, Eve described becoming a mother as one of the most rewarding experiences of her life, but she admitted that the early days also brought unexpected challenges.
“Because being a mom, I also I have discovered it’s the best thing, especially in the early times. It’s the loneliest, busiest time of your life,” she said.
“You’re so insulated with this little person and you’re doing this thing you’ve never done before and the baby’s non-stop.”
Living in London, far from her family, made the transition even more difficult.
“I was obviously in London, no family, whatever,” she said. “I just feel like it’s a really… Also, you’re vulnerable.”
Eve recalled leaving the hospital with her newborn and feeling overwhelmed by the responsibility of caring for another human being.
“They let you leave with this human child after three days in the hospital and you’re like, ‘Ain’t nobody coming with us.’ Literally the day we left the hospital, I said, ‘They’re just going to let us leave?'”
Although Cooper had children from a previous relationship, Eve joked that she expected him to have all the answers.
“He was just like, ‘Wow, this is a lot. This is a lot.’ I was like, ‘Don’t you know how to do this? I was counting on you.'”
Eve also described herself as a “smother mother” and a “helicopter mother.”
“I’m trying not to make him a spoiled brat,” she joked. “I’m not succeeding. But he’s the best thing. Like he truly, truly is my homeboy. Like my bestie, bestie, bestie. And he makes me laugh.”
She said raising her son has encouraged her to break generational patterns while still finding a parenting style that works for her family.
“I think he’s my little teacher,” she said. “I don’t want to carry things into the way I raised him, the way I was raised.”
She continued, “I grew up in a screamy household… I grew up in a ‘don’t talk ’cause I said so’ kind of thing. I’m never going to be a gentle parent… But I want to find a common ground because I want my kids to be able to come to me with stuff.”
