GABRIELLE UNION CELEBRATES DWYANE WADE ON FATHER’S DAY WITH SWEET TRIBUTE

Gabrielle Union is showing love to Dwyane Wade this Father’s Day.

On Sunday, the actress took to Instagram to celebrate her husband and the role he plays in their family.

“To the fathers who show up, love hard, and lead with intention, today is for you,” Union wrote alongside photos of the family.

She also reflected on missing her own father while honoring Wade.

“Missing my dad and holding him close in my heart today. And celebrating D, for the love you’ve poured into our family, and the countless ways you show up every day. Happy Father’s Day!”

Wade also marked the occasion with a reflective post of his own.

“Dream. Believe. Work. Then take a moment and look back at it all. These last two weeks have been full of purpose, people, and perspective. More to come,” he wrote.

Union and Wade share daughter Kaavia, 7. The retired NBA star is also father to Zaire, 24, and Zaya, 19, whom he shares with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. He is also dad to son Xavier, 11, whom he shares with Aja Metoyer, and serves as legal guardian to his nephew, Dahveon Morris, 22.

Wade has often spoken publicly about how much fatherhood means to him.

During a July 2025 appearance on the TODAY show’s Jenna & Friends, Kaavia stepped into the interviewer role and asked her father what he enjoys most about being a girl dad.

“My favorite thing about being a girl dad is the way that you look at me when you see me in the morning,” Wade told his daughter. “I love that you show your emotions to me, and I love that I can look in your eyes and see my eyes, but in a much [more] beautiful way.”

When Kaavia asked what he was most proud of her for, Wade did not have to think too hard.

“I’m so proud of you right now,” he said. “You are hosting an interview right now for Jenna & Friends for the Today show. You are 6 years old and you’re doing an amazing job.”

Zaya also recently opened up about the send-off advice she got from her dad before heading off to college. Speaking to E! News at the second annual Translatable Ball, the college freshman joked that Wade kept his message simple.

“My dad told me not to mess it up, that he is paying tuition and it is expensive,” she shared. “And I would hope that I am doing that.”
