Did Latto have her baby? Fans seem to think so.
The rapper sparked speculation that she may have given birth after sharing a special Mother’s Day message during The Winsome Give Some Foundation’s first annual “Big Mama Day” celebration.
The event honored more than 150 expecting mothers and included support from brands like Adidas, Dove, Pampers, Stanley, Baby2Baby, Sony, and more.
In a video message played during the event, Latto explained why she couldn’t attend in person.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the expecting mamas being celebrated tonight,” she said. “I really wanted to be there, but I’m a little caught up.”
“But I still wanted to send my love and support for this event. It means so much to me. It’s my first Mother’s Day, so I wanted to do it bigger than big,” she continued.
Fans immediately flooded the comments section after picking up on a few details in the clip.
For one, Latto referred to the holiday as her “first Mother’s Day.” Secondly, she appeared to be sitting in a rocking chair, though the video was cropped and only showed part of the chair. Many commenters also claimed they could hear baby noises in the background while she spoke.
“Am I the only one who heard the baby sounds there?” one person commented.
Another wrote, “The baby is here!! I hear the little baby sounds. Congratulations! Especially the ‘it’s my first Mother’s Day.’”
A third added, “She in a rocking chair sounding exhausted she definitely had her baby.”
Latto, whose real name is Alyssa Michelle Stephens, first revealed she was expecting back in March while promoting her upcoming album Big Mama and her single “Business & Personal.”
In the accompanying visual for “Business & Personal,” she hinted that 21 Savage was the father of her baby. During one moment in the video, a hand believed to belong to the rapper could be seen resting on her baby bump.
