RICH HOMIE QUAN DEAD, LEAVES BEHIND FIVE KIDS

Rich Homie Quan, the platinum-selling rapper, has passed away, according to sources. He was 34 years old and leaves behind five kids.

Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Lamar, died at his home in Atlanta on Thursday. His family and representatives from the Fulton County morgue have confirmed the news.

However, the cause of his death has not been disclosed, but TMZ Hip Hop reports that the family is “heartbroken by his sudden death and [they’re] desperately searching for answers.”

The news of his untimely death has sent shockwaves through the music community. Rapper Boosie Badazz took to Instagram to share his grief, posting, “JUST GOT WORD @RichHomieQuan JUST OD ‼️JUST TALK TO WUAN THE OTHER DAY #gomissunigga.”

Rich Homie Quan is survived by four sons and a daughter. His children include Devin, 16, and Khosen, 8, from previous relationships, as well as his daughter Elaina(sp.?).

Quan also leaves behind two more sons, Royal Lamar,10, and Layor Leonis Lamar,3, with his girlfriend, Amber “Rella” Williams.

Amber shared the news of their second son’s arrival in an Instagram post, celebrating the new addition to their family.

“1/11/2021 @ 9:47 p.m my second prince made is arrival weighing in at 7 lbs 10 oz. This baby of mine LOVES to smile as you can see, super shocked he smiled during these captured moments. Who would of thought this Quarantine baby of mine would come out so perfect during the Pandemic. I fell in love ALL over again”.

 

Rich Homie Quan first captured the public’s attention in 2013 with his breakout hit “Type of Way.” His success continued with fan favorites like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Ride Out,” establishing him as a prominent figure in the hip-hop scene.

He later collaborated with Young Thug on the Cash Money Records project, “Rich Gang,” and worked closely with fellow Atlanta artists 2 Chainz and Jacquees.
