LeToya Luckett has once again found love, marrying entrepreneur Taleo Cole in a lavish ceremony in Texas on July 27th, 2024.
“I feel like our story is one of hope,” Luckett shared with Essence.com in an exclusive interview. “For the single moms who might doubt that love and a blended family are possible, I hope our journey shows them that it’s never too late to find happiness and build something beautiful.”
This marks LeToya’s third marriage. Her previous marriage to Tommicus Walker, which brought forth two children, Gianna and Tysun, ended in 2021.
After her divorce, Luckett took a hiatus from dating, partly due to the challenge of introducing a new partner to her children. But fate stepped in when she met Taleo through a mutual friend in 2022.
A memorable moment in an early part of Letoya and Taleo’s relationship occurred during a FaceTime call while LeToya was putting Gianna to bed. The call had unintentionally woken Gianna, but Taleo’s understanding and kindness put the mom at ease.
“I come from a blended family myself,” Taleo shares. “My stepfather played a pivotal role in my life, providing the guidance and support I needed.”
Not surprisingly, LeToya’s children have wholeheartedly accepted Taleo, affectionately calling him “Weo” or “Leo.”
Letoya notes, “The kids call us true love.”
For LeToya, this indeed feels like true love. She expressed her emotions on Instagram, referring to Taleo as “the love of my life,” “an answered prayer,” and “my great Hope realized.”
“I feel divinely connected to you. I love you with my whole heart. This love feels like rest. I can finally exhale. God , I thank you. U heard me. You kept your promise. You restored,” she concluded the touching message.
