Garcelle Beauvais cheered on her son, Jaid Thomas Nilon, as he made his runway debut at Sutton Stracke’s Green Label Fashion Show on Monday, July 22.
“I’m so excited,” Beauvais shared in an interview with Page Six before the show. “He just started modeling.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted to being nervous, and even had her son practice beforehand. “I had him practicing for me today. He’s like, ‘Mom, I’m not gonna look at you. Like, Mom, you gotta be cool.’”
Despite her jitters, Beauvais managed to stay “cool” while watching from the front row with her RHOBH co-stars.
Ever the proud mom, the actress made sure to capture her son on film as he hit the runway in two outfits from Stracke’s sustainable line.
Jaid’s first look featured an all-black ensemble with a puffer vest and baggy pants, followed by a stylish tan jacket with red detailing draped over his shoulders.
Jaid is one of Beauvais’ three children. Garcelle Beauvais also has a 32-year-old son, Oliver Saunders, with her ex-husband Daniel Saunders, and Jaid’s twin brother, Jax, with her ex Michael Nilon.
When asked about his brother Jax’s reaction to Jaid’s new modeling career, Beauvais laughed and said, “His brother’s like, ‘I’m gonna make fun of him.’ … I was like, ‘You wanna come [tonight]?’ He was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ But that’s brothers! They’re 16.”
Earlier this summer, Beauvais celebrated another family milestone. On June 18, Her eldest son Oliver and his girlfriend, Shantei Paranada,announced that they are expecting a baby girl.
“We are excited to share with you all that a new addition to our growing family will be arriving January 2025. We can’t wait to meet you Baby Saunders, & we ALL love you SO much already!”
