In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Ray J opened up to Shannon Sharpe about his life and career, touching on his relationship with estranged wife, Princess Love, and being a father to their two children.
Reflecting on his relationship with Princess, Ray J revealed that they are currently navigating their third attempt at divorce.
“This is our third time trying to do it. Even if it’s final with papers, that doesn’t stop us from loving each other or understanding and learning each other as we go because we’re still co-parenting and we both love our kids and we both love being around each other.”
“Sometimes time apart heals all and I think when you get older, you kind of realize that,” he added.
Ray J and Princess Love tied the knot in Los Angeles in August 2016 and share two children: Melody, 6, and Epik, 4. Recently, Love announced on social media that the couple has decided to part ways.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce. After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways,” she wrote in a statement in February.
During his interview with Shannon Sharpe, Ray J expressed his enduring love for Princess. “I know i love Princess. I make sure she’s involved with everything i do.”
“I want her to know that I’m never going anywhere and she knows that and so together through this these phases, I just want to make sure that we’re good and the kids know that we’re still a solid unit together. That’s very important.”
When asked about the possibility of having more children, Ray J was clear that he would only consider it with Princess and “nobody else”.
“lf she want to adopt or do whatever, we could have 100 Kids. A whole little army Ray Care Foundation,” he said.
