Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling recently came together to celebrate a major milestone in their son Mike Jr.’s life: his kindergarten graduation!
Taking to Instagram, Marcille shared a series of photos from the event and captioned, “Kindergarten graduation what can I say? You are a champion and winner and I am so proud of you.”
In the snapshots, Marcille and Sterling can be seen beaming with pride as they stood alongside their little graduate.
Just a month before his graduation, Mike Jr. celebrated his sixth birthday in April, and his dad made sure to mark the occasion with a touching Instagram tribute.
He wrote,”The second of his name. The birthday boy. Consumer of brownies. Asker of questions. The talker of talkers. The consummate sayer of âdaddy.â The seeker of buckets. Mr. 17 points. Happy Birthday to my middle child Michael T. Sterling, II.”
Sterling also shared a memorable father-son trip to Indianapolis, where they cheered on the Atlanta Hawks in their game against the Pacers. Despite the tough loss, it was an unforgettable experience for Mikey Jr., who even got a high five from his favorite player, Dejounte Murray.
“It was a tough loss for our home team, a great experience for my son and I, and a lesson learned for my son – stick with your team even when they are losing and the crowd is rooting against them,” Sterling recounted. “What is up today may be down tomorrow. What is down today may be up tomorrow. But stick with your team. Headed back to ATL. Happy 6th Birthday Mike II,” he concluded.
After Eva and Michael finalized their divorce in August 2023 they established a private custody agreement for their two sons, Michael, 6, and Maverick, 3. It’s unclear if this arrangement extends to Marcilleâs daughter, Marley Rae, from her previous relationship with Kevin McCall.
Sterling has played a significant role in Marley’s life, even giving her his last name and helping raise her since she was 15 months old.
