Eva Marcille’s husband, Mike Sterling, is working to provide for his wife and kids. The Atlanta politician recently penned a sweet message to his bonus daughter, Marley Rae Sterling, in which Mike expressed his desire to be the best provider possible.
“I just do the best I can every day hoping to provide the very best for you and working hard so that you have what you deserve – unconditional love, unbridled joy, endless possibilities, the capacity to explore your ambition, and the ability to chase your dreams,” Michael wrote to Marley. “My number one,” he added, “My baby. Marley Sterling. God bless you.”
Several thousand Instagram fans loved the sweet note Michael wrote to his bonus daughter. Eva Marcille simply wrote, “I love you” to Michael in response to his message.
It has been quite the battle between Eva and her daughter’s biological father, Kevin McCall. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star faced significant backlash from her child’s father after legally changing Marley Rae’s last name from McCall to Sterling earlier this year.
Eva told her fans that her decision was in the best interest of her daughter as Marley Rae wondered why her last name was different from that of her brothers. Kevin McCall, however, took the name change as an attack on his parental rights and, thus, filed for full custody of Marley Rae with a petition for child support. Eva Marcille spoke on the matter weeks before a judge denied both of Kevin’s requests.
“This is what’s so crazy about it,” the RHOA star said. “[Kevin] was arrested going into court for a case he filed against me,” Eva shared.
“More recently, he drew a suit against me for child support – which is amazing because he’s never given a cent and I’ve raised our child âbut child support, custody, and … I’ve recently changed my daughter’s name from his last name to our family name which is Sterling, and he now wants to reverse that.”
