Kelly Rowland, her husband Tim Weatherspoon, and their two sons, Titan and Noah, star in a new LEGO commercial that celebrates family and creativity. The 30-second video, titled “Build Your Story,” features the Spoons constructing a basketball together using LEGO bricks.

The ad kicks off with Rowland asking her eldest son, Titan, “What do you think mommy and daddy do for a living?”


Titan then responds, “Have a good time,” prompting the parents to exchange a high five.

Tim then explains why they chose a basketball for Titan Jewell to piece together.

“Basketball is important to Titan, and we thought it was the perfect symbolism for our relationship with [him],” the proud dad says.

Elsewhere in the video, little Noah joins the trio for some photoshoot fun!

LEGO’s aim is clear: to inspire families to build their stories with “the power of LEGO bricks”.

“Each beautiful, Black family is filled with colorful human stories. Stories that convey our identity, resilience, and ambition, ready to come to life through the limitless creativity of LEGO® bricks.,” LEGO says in a statement on their site.

The company encourages parents to “nurture creativity at home by sharing their passions with their children.”

Kelly and Tim, who have been married since 2014, welcomed Titan on November 2, 2014, and their second son, Noah Jon, seven years later on January 21, 2021.

 “My favorite part about being a mom to boys is you’re their first idea of a relationship, you know what I mean?” Rowland previously told People in 2021. “I love hearing Titan go, ‘Mommy! Mommy!’ too, just my hugs and my kisses. It’s awesome.”

“I don’t know. I would love a daughter,” added the Motivation singer, “but I’m really loving being a boy mom right now. It’s really fun.”
