Van Jones has embraced fatherhood once again! The Emmy-award-winning broadcast journalist, 55, recently welcomed his fourth child, his second with friend Noemi Zamacona. The pair previously welcomed a daughter in 2022 as conscious co-parents.
“God is so good! This year, He blessed me and Noemi with kid #2 — a healthy, happy, beautiful baby boy,” Jones told PEOPLE in a statement. “Our daughter loves him so much — maybe a little TOO much. (She kisses him like Woody Woodpecker, and he barely survives her hugs!)”.
“Our modern family is thriving, blessings are flowing, and we appreciate all the love and support,” he gushed to the publication.
PEOPLE reports that the latest addition was conceived “via the conscious co-parenting approach”. In February 2022, Van Jones announced that he and Zamacona had used the very same approach to welcome their baby girl.
“This month we welcomed to Earth a baby girl, whom we will raise as coparenting partners. This is a special time for our families. I feel grateful, joyful and blessed. As we create a safe and loving environment for this blessed young soul, I respectfully ask for privacy. Thank you for all the love and support,” Jones announced at the time.
Van Jones also spoke about how he and Noemi made the decision to become conscious-parents.
“After the COVID lockdown, I got clear that I wanted another kid. I discovered that my friend Noemi also wanted a baby. So we decided to join forces and become conscious co-parents,” he said. “It’s a concept that I hope more people will explore and consider.”
Jones has two sons, his first two kids, with his ex-wife Jana Carter, who he was married to from 2005 till they announced their separation in 2018.
“We will continue raising our kids together, running our businesses together and supporting each other’s growth,” the former couple previoously said in a joint statement. “There is no beef or drama — just evolution.”
