Future Zahir turned ten on Sunday, May 19, and his doting parents, Ciara and Russell Wilson, couldn’t help but express their love for him in a pair of touching Instagram posts.
Ciara, who shares Future Jr. with her ex-partner rapper Future (born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn), shared a compilation of pictures and videos of her son from infancy to present.
She captioned it, “He’s annointed, loved, blessed, smart, funny, fun, gifted,special..and today He’s 10 years old! I’m so grateful! Happy Birthday Future! We love you so much and we’re so proud of you!”
“The sky is the limit sunshine!” she added. Her birthday tribute, set to DJ Khaled’s song GOD DID (feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, Fridayy), highlighted Future’s love of sports such as football, baseball, and basketball, like his stepfather, a Super Bowl champion, who currently plays as a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Future’s stepdad, Russell Wilson, 35, also took to Instagram to share his own birthday wishes. He posted a video that showed beautiful moments he shared with his stepson throughout the years.
In the video, the pair could be seen playing video games, sporting matching sunglasses, and jogging on the beach together. They also posed together for adorable photos at athletic events, in matching clothes, and even on a boat.
Russell wrote a heartwarming caption, saying, “Happy Bday Future! The big 10!! We are so proud of you & so grateful for you. You are our biggest blessing. An amazing son! The best big brother!! An absolute baller! So kind and loving! Keep shining. Keep loving. It is our greatest joy watching you grow into the young man God created you to be! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years!”
He concluded the caption by writing, “God is good! We love you forever!!! @Ciara”
