Congratulations are in order for first-time parents, Kali Uchis and boyfriend, Don Toliver. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy, to the world.
The couple shared the news of their son’s birth on social media via a video. The video, bathed in a blue filter, shared scenes of the baby’s birth and their start at life as new parents.
“You are everything we could have hoped for & more. Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, & thank you all for the Good energy along the way,” the post on the caption read. “may our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health.”
The couple revealed the exciting baby news in January in the music video for, “Tu Corazón Es Mio”.
The sweet music video was filled with images of Uchis and Toliver at doctor’s appointments, intermingled with images/video of the 30-year-old “Moonlight” singer and the 29-year-old “No Idea” rapper, at various stages of childhood.
The Colombian-singer posted a snippet of the video on Instagram, captioning it, “Starting our family. Don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
The couple hasn’t officially released their newborn’s name; however, we do know his official nickname, “Baby Pooki.”
In a social media post following the birth announcement, Uchis shares another carousel of images, letting “Baby Pooki” know that “giving birth to you was the greatest day of my life.”
“Giving birth to you was the greatest day of my life, thank you for choosing us to be your parents,” she captioned the post. “You give us so much strength & motivation to be greater, to be our best selves for You. & we hope every day you feel how loved you are by us; nothing compares.”
