Kali Uchis and Don Toliver have announced that they are expecting their first child together. The revelation was made through Uchis’ latest music video for “Tu Corazon es Mio,” a song off her upcoming album.
Posting a teaser of the video on Instagram, the couple shared in a joint message, “Starting our family ❤️🩹 don’t take too long to get here little pooks, mom & dad can’t wait to share our life with you.”
The music video for “Tu Corazon es Mio” not only offers a glimpse into the couple’s pregnancy journey, but also features never-before-seen footage of both artists as children.
In one touching moment, Toliver lovingly kisses Uchis’ growing baby bump.
“Look how much Daddy loves you little pooks, he loves you forever,” Uchis can be heard saying in the clip.
Uchis also gushed on her Instagram Story, “The greatest moment of my life was when we first heard your heartbeat.”
She continued, “Since then, our new little family has already taught me a love I’ve never known. To a lifetime of more greatest moments.”
Kali and Don have been dating for almost three years, with Don confirming their status in a 2021 interview with W Magazine.
“We’re not crazy public or nothing like that,” he told the publication at the time. “We just vibe.”
The couple had previously traveled together to Colombia, where they visited Uchis’ family and collaborated on music videos for a couple of songs off Don’s album, “Life of a DON.”
“I already had it in my mind to go out there and shoot a video with her incorporated into it, to make it a real-deal situation,” he added.
Throughout their relationship, the pair have colloborated on a number of songs including, “4 Me” on Don’s 2023 album and “Love Sick” from Kali’s “Red Moon In Venus album. Uchis’ second Spanish-language album, “Orquideas,” is set to drop on Friday.
