Hamilton alums Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman have welcomed their first child together
The proud new parents took to Instagram to share the news, posting an adorable snapshot of their newborn’s tiny legs.
In the post, Diggs and Raver-Lampman expressed their gratitude for their newest addition. “Dear baby, you have forever changed us. our hearts are filled with a kind of love we never thought possible. We love you more than you will truly ever know. thank you for choosing us. now please…go the f— to sleep. love, mom and dad.”
The couple initially revealed their pregnancy back in September with a sweet Instagram post featuring Raver-Lampman’s baby bump on display. “We can’t wait to meet you,” they captioned the joint announcement.
Diggs, known for his role as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, and Raver-Lampman, a member of the original Hamilton ensemble, first crossed paths in 2015 during their time on Broadway. Their romance blossomed over the years, culminating in their recent journey into parenthood.
While the couple has kept aspects of their relationship relatively private, they offered glimpses into their life together, including their March 2021 appearance on the cover of Architectural Digest. Reflecting on their new Southern California home designed by architect Mandy Cheng, Raver-Lampman expressed her vision of family and community filling the space.
“This may be our first house together, but I already see us and our families and our community and our passions everywhere I look,” Raver-Lampman told the publication at the time.
Diggs echoed the sentiment, saying, “Having a home like this definitely makes it harder to be away. Now I really understand what it means to miss home; because there is really no other place I want to be,” he added.
